More Than Just PodCasting at PodCamp Philly – Learn Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Digital Media

PodCamp Philly is celebrating its fourth year of the area’s largest digital media UnConference on October 2nd and 3rd, 2010 at Temple University.
PodCamp’s UnConference-style means that the participants are also the experts and the speakers. First held in Boston, Massachusetts, Podcamp has spread across the United States and the world to bring people of all backgrounds and abilities together to teach and learn from each other.
“The purpose of PodCamp is to share information, build and grow relationships and grow the new media community. This type of event encourages interactivity, Q&A’s and sessions that are dialogues versus monologues. Topics range from beginner to expert and hobby to business in several tracks including podcasting, blogging, social media and technical.” says event co-organizer Lynette Young. Summaries of some of the sessions can be found on the PodCamp Philly website. A full schedule will be posted prior to the event. The attendee generated content will have something for everyone whether you are focused on learning for personal or professional use. Have an idea for a session or just want to lead a discussion? That is what PodCamp is all about! Everyone sharing their experience and knowledge. Simply submit a session proposal via the website.
Tickets to PodCamp Philly are $20 and are available at http://podcampphilly2010.eventbrite.com/. The fee covers both days of Podcamp and admission to the social events. Admissions fees are donated to a local charitable/educational organization. Last year, PodCamp Philly raised over $4,000.00 for Covenant House in support of homeless youth.
PodCamp Philly is sponsored by Pandemic Labs, Mashable.com, Hoffman Digital Media, Professional Podcasts.com, Purple Stripe Productions, Red Stapler Consulting, Social Media Club Philadelphia and Social Media Club Princeton. Additional sponsors are welcome. Information on sponsorship opportunities are available on the PodCamp Philly website (http://www.podcampphilly.com).
After you’ve registered, share this with your network and invite them to come to PodCamp Philly with you!
America’s Got Talent Winner – Finale – Michael Grimm- SHOCKER! – Jackie Evancho should have won!

The voice of an angel, Jackie Evancho did not win this years of America’s Got Talent! Michael Grimm wins the “ultimate prize” of $1,000,000 and a Las Vegas Show. Very sad for all the Jackie Evancho fans out there, but America voted and they think Michael Grimm has more talent.

This is just the beginning of a long successful journey for Jackie Evancho and I hope we see more of her soon!

Addicted to Real Estate – Phil Falcone – Social Media & Web Design Philadelphia

Another successful website launched from Media Components LLC. This time around I consulted Phil Falcone who is the new author of a Real Estate book – “Addicted to Real Estate” on how to properly setup a professional web presence & social media strategy to help him sell the book.
Some of the Social Media Marketing included:
- Blogging
- Facebook & Twitter
- Youtube TV Channel
- E-Mail Marketing & Subscriptions
Phil launched his Web TV Show on Youtube and is doing great with it. Every video episode is produced in the green screen studio in our office.
Check out his website and buy the book which is a great read!
